When is Dynamics GP End of Life
September 25, 2024. Microsoft officially announced End of Support services (EOS), end of software updates, and end of enhancements for Microsoft Dynamics GP as of September 2029. Microsoft will have Security Updates available for Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains ERP) until April 2031, though no other updates after 2029. These will be available for clients who are current on their BREP Enhancement.

What's next for Dynamics GP clients
Endeavour remains committed to supporting our Microsoft Dynamics GP clients both before and after Microsoft's Announced End-of-Life for GP. We have comprehensive GP Support Plans that include "unlimited Break-fix support" for Dynamics GP clients.
However, there will be risks in maintaining a legacy ERP that is no longer supported by the vendor (Microsoft). Endeavour recommends that clients make plans to migrate from Dynamics GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central prior to the announced GP-End-of-Life n 2029. Should I migrate to Business Central?
Yes, Endeavour recommends that all Dynamics GP clients migrate to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (SaaS Cloud ERP) prior to the 2029 GP-End-Of-Life.
Step 1 - Endeavour has paid and (no-charge) Dynamics GP to Business Central Assessments (report and migration estimate) available to active clients and select new clients. Endeavor is a Microsoft certified AIM Commercialization Center, which provides specialized tools, processes and funding from Microsoft to help GP clients migrate to the cloud.
Step 2 - Work with Endeavour to plan your migration including start date, project deposits and scope of work.
Step 3 - Start your Digital Transformation Journey with Endeavour and your GP to Business Central migration. Including:
- Advisory Services and Business Process Optimization
- Migration of data from Dynamics GP to Business Central
- Implementation and Configuration of Business Central
- Addition of any 3rd party ISVs, Extensions and modifications
- Training, Change Management, and UAT Testing
- Go-Live, Go-Live Support, and Post Go-Live Support
